Mia Farrow, internationally acclaimed actress and equally renowned humanitarian, became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in September 2000. Ms. Farrow, herself a polio victim, initially became involved with UNICEF in order to campaign for the eradication of this disease. Since then, Ms. Farrow has been a true advocate for children, campaigning for their rights around the world. Ms. Farrow has traveled extensively to Africa on behalf of UNICEF. In 2004 and 2006, Ms. Farrow traveled to Darfur to witness first hand the devastating impact of the civil war on women and children. In November 2006, Ms. Farrow also visited Eastern Chad. Ms. Farrow has had countless Op-Eds published in major newspapers focusing on the conflict in the Darfur region. Ms. Farrow began her film career with 'Rosemary's Baby' and since then has made more than 40 films. Her latest film is 'Be Kind Rewind' which is soon to be released.
