Although the beta version of the site was launched in May 2003, it is only in March 2005 that WAYN.com started to ramp up the rankings on Alexa - growing from 45,000 members then, to over 8 million to date. Jerome has been deeply involved in the latest Web 2.0 technologies and gained invaluable insights into the various means online businesses are emphasizing on their brand awareness and developing a strong user base by using the so called "Self Generated Content Strategies"
Prior to founding
WAYN.com, Jerome was a Consultant in Telecommunications and High Tech at Accenture, working primarily on CRM solutions for major accounts such as British Telecommunications and Microsoft.
Peter Ward, 28, is the co-founding Director of
WAYN.com (Where Are You Now?). With over 8 million members worldwide, WAYN.com is the number one travel and lifestyle social community in the world with members from over 220 countries. Although the beta version of the site launched in May 2003, the site really started to take off in March 2005, where it grew from less than 50,000 members to over 8 million to date. Peter has been deeply involved in the management, product and strategic development of the company and has gained valuable insights into how to: create and grow a global community platform; develop a unique consumer and business proposition; raise finance; build brand awareness through marketing and manage a profitable web 2.0 business.
Prior to managing WAYN, Peter worked as a management consultant for Accenture, focusing on deal making, marketing and high performance finance, pitching to senior clients. Peter also won scholarships to attend Entrepreneurship programs at MIT Sloan School of Business in Boston; London Business School and Cambridge University. Peter Graduated in Economics & Business Finance from Brunel University in 2001.
